Description

The Collection Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the collections process to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments. The role involves coordinating with customers, monitoring receivables, and implementing effective collection strategies while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day collection activities
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments
  • Develop and implement collection strategies and schedules
  • Coordinate with sales and accounts teams to resolve payment issues
  • Handle escalations and negotiate payment terms with customers
  • Prepare collection reports and MIS for management review
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of credit policies, billing, and recovery processes
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet collection targets
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/ERP software
